A 4-year program offered at Happy Child College of Nursing that prepares the students to practice across all health care settings. The course of study combines the theory and the practice of nursing, with general education in the humanities and behavioural, biological, and physical sciences. These serve as a core for the development of the nursing major. The B.Sc. programme offers students experience in major settings where health care is delivered. As a B.Sc. graduate, you have the greatest opportunity for advancement. A B.Sc. is required for entry into a Master's Degree in nursing programme that prepares you for leadership, management and more independent roles, such as clinical nurse specialist, nurse practitioner, educator and researcher. A B.Sc. is preferred and often required for military nursing, case management, public health nursing, overseas/development nursing, forensic nursing and school nurses. The Indian Nursing Council and Haryana Nursing Council recognized this course offered at Happy Child with annual intake of 40 students.

Objectives

The goal of B.Sc. Nursing programme is to prepare nurses who are able to function efficiently and effectively, as a member of health care team and who are qualified to meet the nursing needs of the people in the society. The nurse is competent to practice at the home, hospital outpatient clinic, work place, school and community. The programme provides a basis for further development and continued learning of the graduate.

Duration of Course : 4 Years

Eligibility for admission to the B.SC Nursing Programme

1. Minimum Education:

  1. 10+2 class passed with science Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) & English with aggregate of 50% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board.
  2. Student shall be medically fit.
  3. Students must have appeared in University entrance examination & admitted in the college through proper counseling process.
  4. Entrance/Selection Test: Selection of the candidates should be passed on the merit of the entrance examination held by university of competent authority.

2. Age:

  1. The minimum age of admission candidate should have completed the age of 17 years i.e. 31st December of Admission Year. The date of birth recorded as per Matriculation certificate.

3. Physcial Fitness:

  1. Besides fulfilling the eligibility conditions, the candidate should be certified by Govt. Medical officer/Registered Medical practitioner as physically and mentally fit to purse the course.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION:

The following certificates will be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission:-

a) Original/provisional 10th, 10+2 and statement of marks of qualifying examination and other higher examination passed by the candidates.
b) Character/Conduct Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer/Head of the Institution last attended/ Tehsildar.
c) Domiciliary Certificate.
d) Migration Certificate/NOC from the university from which the candidate has passed her last examination.
e) Proof of category against which selected i.e. OBC/SC/ST/IRDP/Ex-Servicemen/WFF/PH.
f) Affidavit/ Undertaking by the Student and Guardians.
g) 10 Passport Size Photograph.

j) Registration Certificate

EXAMINATION

  • Annual Examination/Semester Examination of All Course of Nursing is conducted by University and Degree of B.Sc. and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing will be awarded by PT. B.D. Sharma University of Health Science, Rohatak, and Haryana.
  • Degree will be awarded by PT. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak
